I'm really glad that I took today off completely. Apparently in six months' time I managed to accumulate a 'moderate' amount of what they refer to as calculus (which made me laugh — I have math equations stuck in my gums!). So I spent a half hour with my mouth hyper-extended, wide open, while it all got cleaned away, open again while I got my teeth cleaned, open again while the dentist looked for new cavities, then open one last time while they took new x-rays.
I came home and took a three hour nap, trying to get rid of the ensuing headache. I took Doan's and it went away for a little while, but now it's back. Hot tea helps. More Doan's will too.

Hurts like a motha
May. 14th, 2005 02:13 pmSo I have learned an important lesson today: the blue plates are not to be used for microwaving, because they capture and retain far too much heat. That is to say, I nuked a frozed breakfast omlette thing and when I went to pick the plate up out of the microwave, I just about burned the finger pads off of my right hand. Thank goodness for the burn-stopping and healing properties of Preparation H as a burn cream. Hours later, the thumb, ring and pinky finger pads still hurt.
Slow call volume at work, so I got to leave a half-hour early. For my next trick, more Mac maintenance.
