Na, rather than feeling empowered, they're just trying to feel almost normal. Over compensation is such a sad thing to see.

Oh, yeah, she's got quite a head on her shoulders. 13 and I'm terrified she's going to out think me at a crucial moment. :-) (Sarcastic as all hell, too. I'm so proud!)
