peppermintesse1.) That opening scene (small!Sawyer hiding under the bed)… wow, powerful.
2.) Not only was the Charlie/Claire storyline the B storyline, it was a lowercase b. I realize that this was supposed to be a Sawyer-centric ep, so why did the TV section of the paper list the Sayid/Hurley plot (being concerned about Charlie) as the description of the episode? Stupid paper.
3.) The Sawyer/Kate scene ("I Never", by the fire) was part Romancing the Stone and part TNG "Attached". I liked how the shots kept getting closer and closer until the climax, and then, at-a-distance shot.
4.) Took me a few to realize that was Jack's dad in the bar. Sydney must either be a tiny little town, or Sawyer must really get around (he was in Boone's police station flashback, too). Which leads me to ponder…
5.) Why was Sawyer in the police station in Boone's flashback, looking like he's getting hauled in, and does it connect to the Sweet Shrimp shooting?
6.) Hibbs is a bastard. Evil!Robert Patrick.
7.) Sawyer BETTER TELL JACK what his dad said. I'll hurt someone!
8.) Next week looks good. I can't believe anyone is actually helping Michael build that boat.
You know, I tried watching a few episodes of "Alias", but the body-freezing potion and the hallucinogenic vampire thing was just beyond belief. Sorry, I tried. Then again, I wasn't a fan of "Buffy" either, and I really tried on that one too. So it's back to "Forensic Files" for me.
Also? "Medium" rocks and its opening music is the heir to the X-Files theme.
Also also. Did anyone else see "Numb3rs" last week? (Smart is sexy.) Did anyone else recognize the actress who played the mother of the boy who, ahem, fell?
