A day alone

After a crappy night sleep, I saw grian_ruadh and janabard off to their ride to Portland to see Wicked, so I have a day to myself. I'm torn between doing unpacky type things and take-it-easy type things. I think I'm going to strike a happy medium and only do some laundry, some dishes (YAY DISHWASHER) and maybe put the rest of the bathroom stuff away.

Thinking about going down and exploring Flicks & Pics, which is the local indie video rental place. For some reason the thought of going in there has always intimidated me a bit. I have no idea why. But what better day to try to find some of the more obscure things I've been wanting to watch (i.e. the original Fever Pitch) without worrying about whether others are watching just to humour me. Then again, my desire to actually drive somewhere is pretty damned low, so we'll see.

On a related note, watched Enchanted April, which I had taped off of Showtime circa 1994 (according to the tape itself). Why isn't this movie out on DVD*, I ask you?! This tape is not going to last forever.
