Here come the holidays... like it or not

peppermintesseI'd like the Christmas season if I had more money to spend on people I love. I know that is not what it's about, but I enjoy that rush, finding the Perfect Gift at the Right Price.
I wish they hadn't started the holiday music inundation at the end of November. I think if it started, say, now, I'd be ok with that. As it is, I'm getting really tired of hearing "Jingle Bell Rock" a thousand and one times. Though I don't mind hearing the occasional unique one, like Loreena McKennitt.
Yesterday was a banner day for my little café, the highest single day sales total (that wasn't a special event like New Year's Eve) we've ever had. And I worked most of it alone. Consequently, we left here and went to Mucho Gusto (local fresh Mexican place) and got take out. I didn't feel like cooking; besides, with working alone, the tips that day were great. :)
