Revenge of the Ants

I came home to find them having a party on my desk. Thankfully they seem to be scooping up and carting off with the poison from the trap, yay. One can even see the difference between the scout ants and the food-carrying ants. Thank goodness they're still only just sugar ants and not evil fire ants.

I still want them all to perish.

The thing about ants is that the ants in your house are not the issue, the ants in the nest that will follow them are. If the poison actually is poison them carrying it back is actually good (and it may have been designed for that).

Really, though, once ants get in, they're very hard to get out. They've left scent trails marking the path in, so you may be helped by finding, and blocking, their access point (or putting ant poison there), and then scrubbing the area around it.

If I could find where they're coming in, I'd totally douse it in cinnamon, because there's something about cinnamon oil that ants do not like. And yes, them carrying it back to the nest is designed to kill the ants at the source, so party on, ants. :)
