May I ask an unrelated question about Word?

I'm new to the Mac, and I don't have MS Office, and I may be eligible for a student discount, so I'm thinking about it picking it up.

There's some stuff I need to be able to do that's scholarly-article-specific. Footnotes with text in smallcaps but not allcaps, and Word's change-tracking or revision-tracking -- does it exist?
